The Reinventing Higher Education 2020 Conference, initially organized for April 29-30, has been postponed to November 2020 due to the current Covid-19 situation.

On November 16-17, 2020, Luiss University and IE University will organize the 11th edition of “Reinventing Higher Education”, a conference designed to examine issues set to impact academia, government, and the private sector, as their future workforce continues to face an ever-changing environment. The event, hosted by Luiss University in Rome, will gather experts from all continents to address questions critical to academia, government and the private sector on the role of universities as global agents of innovation and the need for education systems to be responsive as well as catalysts for positive change in our societies.

The theme for the 2020 conference will be “Global Engagement: Towards Responsive and Innovative Universities” and it will address key questions on the future of the European education ecosystem, the challenges for research in a constantly evolving landscape, the need for breaking down silos and creating cross disciplinary hubs for knowledge generation, the responsive role of universities towards their stakeholders, and the need for higher education to return to the epicenter of innovation.

Launched in 2010 at IE University, Reinventing Higher Education is a symposium organized in collaboration with the IE Foundation. The overarching aim of the Conference is to provide a platform where university administrators, policy makers, entrepreneurs and top managers, academics, student representatives and media experts can meet to discuss the current status and future evolution of Higher Education (HE), and debate the direction research, learning, governance and management of universities should now take.
