The COVID-19 emergency has forced educators and students to shift teaching and learning from the offline to the online world. As a result, many new learning management systems have been adopted. This variety of tools might be overwhelming for learners and educators alike. For learners, it can lead to confusion because they have multiple accounts for multiple tools and need to keep an overview of where they can find which educational content. For educators, the variety of systems may create a higher workload, as the same educational content might not be compatible with all education platforms. The Fraunhofer Common Learning Middleware combines different learning management systems and ensures learning tools interoperability. It is a joint development of the Fraunhofer Academy, the Fraunhofer institutes FOKUS, FIT, IML, IOSB and Ziemann.IT Software. Learn more about the Common Learning Middleware in our latest DEL4ALL expert interview with our DEL4ALL partner Sabine Klovenbach from FIT and DEL expert Eva Poxleitner from Fraunhofer Academy.
