DEL4ALL survey on the connection between Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Gaming and their benefits and issues on education.

As part of the DEL4ALL project, we have developed our next survey focusing on education technologies, such as AI, ML and Gaming and their connection, usage, issues and benefits on educators and learners in the COVID-19 era.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) can automate the expedition of administrative duties for teachers and academic institutions. Educators spend a lot of time on grading exams, assessing homework, and providing valuable responses to their students. It is also virtually ubiquitous in students’ and teacher’s everyday lives, in Social Media, web searches, news sites, image and voice recognition applications.

Machine learning (ML) is transforming education and fundamentally changing teaching, learning, and research. Educators are using ML to spot struggling students earlier and take action to improve success and retention.

Games can be used as a support tool to complement traditional teaching methods to improve the learning experience of the learners while also teaching other skills such as following rules, adaptation, problem-solving, interaction, critical thinking skills, creativity, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.

Involving students in ML training courses that include playful game-based learning activities can help them to become AI literate and responsible towards the ethics and threats of AI.

Please share your experience with us! Filling in the DEL4ALL AI, ML and Gaming Survey takes about 10-15 minutes of your time (depending on your answers), it is completely anonymous, and results will be published in a DEL4ALL white paper this year. The survey is running until 5th of May 2021 and you can participate here.

DEL4ALL aims to transform current European research and innovation initiatives in the area of digital enhanced learning into an increasingly cohesive, dynamic, participatory and sustainable ecosystem, capable of effectively stimulating collaboration among all key players in an inclusive and impactful way. We are here to support the digital enhanced learning community in these difficult times.
