Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Digital Games – University of Malta
His research interests revolve around the application of artificial intelligence to games, including mixed-initiative design of game content, procedural content generation, human-computer interaction, and games for learning. He has served as General Chair in several international conferences on the topic of games, and has organised numerous workshops. He is a chapter author for the book “Procedural Content Generation in Games” and the book “The Art of Artificial Evolution”. He has published over 70 journal and conference papers, and has received several awards for his research contributions and reviewing effort. His research has been supported by several EU-funded projects, including five H2020 projects
