Mariluz Guenaga holds a PhD in Computer Engineering. Since 1998 she is a lecturer at the Engineering Faculty, University of Deusto (Bilbao, Spain), currently teaching Computer Programming and Human-Computer Interaction & Multimedia. She is head of Deusto LearningLab research group (http://learninglab.deusto.es) and a member of Deustek, recognized as an excellence research group by the Basque Government. Her research interests focus on learning technologies, learning analytics, game-based learning, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education. She has participated in several RDI projects such as OSOS-Open Schools for Open Societies (the first Open Schooling project in Europe-H2020), NextLab (H2020) and GoLab (FP7), and coordinated and participated in more than 10 Erasmus+ projects for school education in the last years. The results of her work have been published in relevant international journals and conferences. She is member of the Basque Government experts’ panel for the STEAM Strategy since 2018.
